Amy Javernick-Will
Biography
Amy Javernick-Will is an Assistant Professor, Nicholas R. and Nancy D. Petry Professor in Construction Engineering and Management, and Associate Director for Graduate Education and Research within the Mortenson Center in Engineering for Developing Communities at the University of Colorado Boulder. Amy researches engineering with developing communities and the engineers involved with engineering service organizations. She currently serves on the NAE Engineering Education-Workforce Continuum Committee and is the recipient of the “Young Researcher Award” from CEAE, ASCE’s “New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award”, Engineering News Record’s “Top 20 under 40” Award, the College’s “Outstanding Advisor” award, and the University of Colorado’s “Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor” award. In addition to studying engineering education, Amy researches resiliency and post-disaster recovery of the built and social environments and knowledge mobilization in projects and organizations. Amy earned her PhD from Stanford University and her BS and MS from the University of Colorado Boulder.
