Biography
Nadine Aubry, University Distinguished Professor and Dean of Engineering at Northeastern University, is an expert in fluid dynamics. She was elected to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), and is a Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). She is currently Chair of the NAE FOEE Advisory Committee and Secretary of the NAE Mechanical Engineering Section. She served as Chair of the National Academies’ U.S. National Committee for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and Chair of the APS Division of Fluid Dynamics. Before joining Northeastern, she was the Raymond J. Lane Distinguished Professor, University Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon. Dr. Aubry holds a PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University.
